...if I was in the market for a Mark 3 I would certainly look at this car in SGT. It belonged to a former TM'er, so it's a known car, and is in 'as new' condition with only 1700 miles on the clock.

I'll bring this car up again as it is in excellent condition too, but more importantly it is on SOR from Ray's widow. It would be nice if it went to a good home. smile

Unless it is brand new, I would be highly unlikely to by a low mileage car. But, as has already been said, I want to see the history, and I don't mean a stamped service book. I want to see the invoices. The Aero discs have a recommended life span of 20,000. I am on my 4th set (should be still on my 3rd set but given the knock the wheels and hubs took, they have been replaced again along with the hubs)

Even the Aero service book only talks of service every 10k. I have always been of a mind to change oil and filters every 5,000. It is a cheap safeguard and allows for the rest of the car to get a quick once over.

A well used car with no expense spared maintenance is the ideal purcase IMHO.

My 28 year old Ferrari which has less miles than my 4 year old Aero needed significant investment to bring it up to standard (and yet that had all the required services). The low miles meant too many things had deteriated through lack of use.

Are you sure Brian? Rays car was Bentley Silverlake blue. And that S3 is shown as a one owner car dated 2007 so he can't have bought it since he was on the LoS with us??

Spoke to Julian re this car. Really helpful gentleman.

Not 100% sure on colour plus haven't had time to go and see it in the flesh due work and family commitments. Seems a nice car however.

On a different car, the White S3 has now sold with a red S1 coming into Williams soon. Not my colour, but possibly nice car for someone.

Dave
