Nope. I was just being boring and technical. I should leave my anorak at work really.
I can't believe the MMC representative who uses that car as their daily transport has put up with the terrible understeer for over a year themselves. The chap I test drove it with commented at the time how dreadful it was. Still, they are always flat out at the factory actually making things, unlike the rest of British industry. So in conclusion, I forgive them. I will also happily take the vehicle on myself and fastidiously attend to all of it's maladies before returning it to them in a state fit to presentto the worlds press

P.s Ale_72. I love your Aero SS and my Mrs loves the colour. We have been somewhat inspired by you for our forthcoming purchases

Well Ale_72. It is a beautiful colour and suits the distinctive shape of the Aero so well. The pictures in the sunshine over on Piston heads are fantastic. My Mrs wanted an Aston until she saw your Aero parked next to one
I beleive I have selected a colour every bit as distinctive, although not from the colour pallette of such a prestigious manufacturer

Just seen the video on a TV re run. I think you are understating it - Jason panned the car to a degree that I've not seen in any other of the trash TV that I watch. And I watch too much of it.

My test drives didnt show the problems that he highlighted but then I was driving on public roads, nothing like as fast as he goes and I havent got his skills. Now you might well say that you dont drive the Plus * on a track at his speed either, but to my mind the key thing is his comparison with other 85k cars. The relativities if you like.

And it isnt an 85k car any longer. I recently specced one up with the minimum that you would get on a similar price level car and I came out at almost 100k.

Its a pity. The basics are there and most of the hard work has already been done. Final tuning of the chassis shouldnt be difficult. Send it along to someone like Lotus with the skills and resources that Morgan dont have. Make a bit more effort over cosmetics like door handles. And price more realistically to make it the excellent true sports car that lurks hidden inside it.

Remember the steering was modified in 2014 to address some of the comments made. Maybe the new suspension being introduced next year will address the rest.

I watched that report when making my decision.

I don't agree with anything he said: I bought the 2014 car.
OK I don't drive it on a track, but on the road I don't experience any noticeable under-steer: almost the opposite as the lock increases and load goes on the inside wheel the steering seems to tighten. This amplification effect was described to me by Richard Thorn as something to be aware of.

The new front suspension makes the steering "normal", but I quite like what I have.

As has been said I think Mr Potato had already decided on panning the car , a very irritating video from the start , he needs to grow up a bit or maybe stick to a hot hatch subsidized by various parts co's !

They cannot. The parts are all very expensive - the engine, gearbox and chassis tub are all eye-wateringly costly the way Morgan buys them, then the car is hand built.

A Morgan is what it is, it cannot be compared with any mass produced production line car.

To think I quite liked him!
