There is a thread on the Bluetooth OBD II adaptor here I think it is unlikely to be the O2 sensor because there is one on each side and the error is showing on both sides. Unless the car has been assembeld with a faulty batch of catalysers or sonda lambda sensors. It is possible that the ECU fitted is wrong or has the wrong program. There was a delay in shipping the first 3.7 Roadsters because the wrong ECUs had been supplied, there is a thread on this somewhere. This should, however, be easy to check.

They have contacted Morgan and got the response that they have never had this issue before and just left it at that. (New Zealand) Ps have done 7000 km If Frustration persists then I would pop into a local Ford / Mustang dealership and ask them about the issues? .

Regarding the issue of this lamp coming on . One of the Roadster 100 Register owners (2009/10 car) still has this problem after frequent visits to his dealership. The car is about to be returned to the factory. The lamp comes on about every 500 miles. Would anyone here who has had this problem, with any model, and had the problem permanently fixed, please like to share what their issue was reported to be so that I can feed it back to him?

I have similar problems with my plus 8. Dealer has cancelled out once and it has just come on again today. I was told it was an reading imbalance across the in/out cat sensors.

It means that the cat is not functioning sufficiently to reduce the emissions to the legal level. The elements in the catalyser need to be extreemly hot to function well and obviously there is a limit to the quantity of CO etc that it can cope with. One thing to try is exhaust wrap to make sure the cat receives gas as hot as is possible but there may be other problems with the state of tune of the engine. This is a very common issue with sports exhaust systems.

Have the same problem with my 2012 plus 4, light comes on at various intervals, did a basic check, i.e plug color, exhaust emmisions, nothing obviously wrong so carried on driving, phoned my dealer, not another one was his reply, seems a dodgy batch of something could have been used, so would order and change under warranty, phoned to see which year Morgan would supply the part and was told , we have another one in with the same problem. I doubt Morgan could give a damm about after sales service or keeping a car on the road with a quick supply of parts. Still I am still mobile and enjoying the car.

I was told it was likely to be a faulty sensor. I ring my dealer on Monday to get a solution.

I don't like driving with the warning light on in case some other fault developes. I bought a Bluetooth OBD2 adaptor and I can monitor the problem, and cancel the error, using an app called Torque on my Android phone. See http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/139312#Post139312
