Bad luck woolfie the joys of living / driving in the countryside.

Years ago I managed to hit a flock of what I think were starlings in a merc.

They managed to take out both headlights I had two stuck in the grill and one of the little gits managed to get through to the rad.

An expensive day out, and unlike yours I couldn't even take them home for the dog.

For those of you with a predilection for road kill, might I suggest this book? laugh2

Good book; I suggest a Grand Cru St Emilion, maybe from the late 90's to go with anyting gamey. Bigger the red wine the better.

On our honeymoon in Tuscany we ran into a really bad hailstorm. 15 minutes of ice-cube-sized hailstones. The Morgan ended up dimpled as a golf ball. Fortunately it was still less than a year old, and was one of the soft-paint ones, so a skilled panel beater managed to straighten it out perfectly, without a repaint needed.

My guess would be, 'this is going to hurt, a lot! So I'm taking that thing with me!!!' scared

Will be interested to hear what the cost is. Do you know yet whether they are suggesting a new wing?

Dont' want to spoil anyones breakfast - but the respray job on my front end for a similar sized dent fixed at a Morgan dealer was a very similar job. Some joker with an XJS + towbar reversed into the Aero in Chiswick, - leaving a tennis ball sized dent (very smooth) and flaked off the paint in that area.

Full dent removal + respray was around £1200 for that...

i am going to do it on insurance - and make use of the protected ncd. Getting an estmate in the post, to pass on. Also asked about the lack of badge on the front grille and its becauase the early cars went to market sans badge. Now there's a diverting secondary point for the morgan archivists.

I'd point out to your insurers that the badge fell off too and you'll need a new one! wink
