Well done JTL. I found that once they started working they then realised all the things they wanted but still couldnt afford and so still came to see dad. Next moves will be moving out for a while, then back home to "save money" (go figure). I suggest you invest in a towball and trailer now, it will save you a fortune in removal trucks. Any garage space you thought you had will now become a storage unit for their furniture. Then comes the grandkids

Daughter coming back to stay for the summer, before possible move from Cardiff to Newcastle to continue her studies. Planning today to try to rent a van so I can drive up and collect her stuff. I have this to look forward to. Mind you, having said that, the way my son has tackled his AS level we may never find out. Too much like his Dad. As for counting the costs, never do that. A wise Chinaman told me that we are only on earth as custodians, never count the cost. We are investing in the future. JTL - I always knew she is your P&J Enjoy your pint.

I did but fell asleep I had been on the roof sorting out the flashing and was knackered . Woke up to the best game of rugby I have ever watched in my life it was on digital , had me on the edge of my seat, 100% from both sides . Dont ask dont know who was playing who I was 100% into it never been like that for years. The great thing was they kept showing you the action in slow motion. One guy did a tackle that would have stopped a speeding bus and you saw the other chap slam into him and bounce back befor he was down on his ass. Enjoy your pint. [/quote]

I know the feeling very well. One of the reasons I have just sold my Plus Four was to enable my daughter to pay off some of her outstanding medical school fees and also help in getting her first step on the housing ladder. Have been without my Morgan for a week now and curiously I find I am not missing it at all! Regards

Sold the car to get married, sold the car to buy a house, sold the car because kids were on the way, sold the car because I got divorced, sold the car to cover Uni expenses, sold the car to pay for the daughter's wedding, sold the car to help them buy a house, sold the car to help them because kids were on the way:
Enough is enough! I'm not bl**dy selling this one!

It pays off in the end - my eldest has produced a wonderful grandson (now 9 mths). And worth helping her through BA(stage management) and later on a masters in psychotherapy & counseling. Also it is worth it when you see them happy in life - some things as the advert says are priceless!!
Also - be good to your children - they will be the ones to choose your nursing home!!! Open up a Hobgoblin for me.
