Ok, well much mentioned at the TM meet - so for those of you with an S1 and the original S1 roof - this is the way I fold it down so it looks neat and doesn't threaten to take off your noggin at speed.

Step 1

Release the clips on the sides of the roof (the studs)
Release the tension from the roof.
Unclip roof and fold backwards so the inside is facing skywards...

Step 2
So it should now look like this.

Step 3

Now, roll the roof up from the end, so you're rolling the handles inwards.

Step 4

This is the trick, it's doable by yourself, though with one person either end it's a doddle.
It should fold inside itself with a bit of coaxing - just keep rolling it over tightly.

Step 5

So once it's wrapped inside itself nice and tight, you can reclip the tensioners back into their original position.
The roof should stay nicely folded, however to be 100% the roof straps (Allon and white) are a good investment - or if you haven't got round to it yet like me you can use something wedged behind the headrest to hold the roof in place. (only works if you ahve the seat all the way back though).

Admire in a smug fashion.
Overall - a much cleaner line to the car roof down. smile

Hope thats of some use to y'all out there smile

I fully acknowledge that this is not necessarily the official way to do this, so if anyone knows better I'm all ears smile

The images don't work because the website wants you to log in. Try putting them on photobucket, or uploading to the photo gallery.
