LB is at RPM for some remedial work, and I'm told the front brakes need new discs and pads because they're corroded! My question is: what sort of crap parts are they fitting that need replaced after 2 years & 13000 mile??? To say I'm annoyed is an understatement...

I'd be getting a second opinion myself! What sort of symptoms were you getting when using the brakes?

I'd be getting a second opinion myself! Me too. Ask to see the old discs and pads on the car.

I suspect it also depends upon the type of environment that the car is mainly used in. Certainly, coastal areas tend to cause more corrosion on any cars and also the liberal use of salt in the winter does not help.
I am surprised that with the type of mileage and age of car, that it has got that bad that it needs discs and pads. I would want to see for myself before committing to that type of expenditure.

Do you often put the car back in the garage with wet discs....i.e. not dried them out after washing the car.
Just a thought...

I'm sure OZ 4/4 will be along soon as he's fastidious about Morgan brakes on the newer cars.

They will be Caparo calipers. I've suffered from a sticking pad for ages whenever the car has been wet. Not that easy to dry off the brakes when it is raining! Williams have changed the pads to Mintex, as well as fit Aeroquip hoses and I'm hoping that the new pads don't stick. Luckily my discs were ok at 12,500 miles.
It'll be interesting to see how much RPM charge. EBC green pads are around £35 for full front set and their replacement discs around £120 a pair. I suspect Morgan charge a lot more!
