But as pointed out by Ian isn't be doing the opposite? For those non local are getting calls at a local rate? We have an 0845 number and we pay to receive calls not the other way round.
Appreciate its different for mobiles.
Cheers

Depends who you are with and what contract you are on . I am with Talk Talk and they screw up the cost for anything that is not 01 - 02 . So I refuse to use them I agree with Neil if you are spending money with someone then its disgusting to charge for the phone call as well .

Perhaps I should have clarified that the main irritation at trying to get through to Direct Line, was that 5 times I had failed to get to a member of their staff, giving up after 5 minutes on each call. . . in comparison, Headley were (and have always been) a delight to deal with. I had just not considered them, until now, for insurance on a non-Morgan. Bud

There is a Morgan dealer uses an 0845 number . Just changed the insurance on my cooking car from Direct Line to Headley. The prompt to change was my infuriation at trying to phone Direct Line regarding the renewal. (5 attempts to call, each lasting 5 minutes, all on an 0845 premium rate number) I phoned Headley,(always had the 4/4 with them), got straight through to a really helpful lady; everything changed over with no fuss and I saved £12 on my premium. No links at all to Headley, just reaaly pleased. Bud Does it run on GAS

I`m now with More than - they charge me £22 if I ring up to change something on the policy and because I said that I wanted policies sent by post I can`t register to use the online stuff which is free. Will be giving Karen a ring in January!! - or perhaps I might see her at Mog13

I've just taken out a policy for my first Morgan with Headley but in the cost summary there is an item Detailing "Breakdown" at a cost of £24.15. Is anyone able to throw any light on this? I have written to Headley asking for an explanation but they have not replied. Is it breakdown cover like the RAC or AA offer? If it is there is no mention of a telephone number to call anywhere in the documentation, in any case I already have cover with Gem.

You should get a Morgan breakdown card, if I remember it is run through Green Flag, I used once when I could not work out an electrical fault, the local breakdown garage in the area came out with a really good low loader to our home, took great care loading Rosie and I duly followed to the main dealer and ensure she was off loaded in the yard as the arrival time was after the dealer was closed. Really great service. Ask Headley to send a card.
