And now..............compare to the first post

Arrived at BHM around 9.10 after an easy run down of just under 3 hours. Noted that there was an airshow at Duxford, and Burghley Horse trials on the A1, so returned clockwise round the M25 and north up the M1. BHM were expecting a contingent of Dutch Mogs, so had cleared the forecourt.
How you southern chaps cope with the M25 is beyond me. The first 30 miles were pitifully slow. Anyway, arrived home at 14.45 approx. Bumble ran very well, and used just over half a tank of fuel. Early observations - obviously not as grunty as the Roadster but will hold an indicated 80 without problem. More bouncy over speed bumps and badly potholed roads, and the exhaust is slightly boomy at certain revs, but I'm delighted with it. Not as draughty as the Roadster, even without a windstop. That must be to do with the aerodynamics of the lowered hood. Lots to do obviously and the work will start as soon as possible - maybe next weekend!!!!!!!

No sign of Grahams car - tucked away somewhere.

You were wise to miss the A1 sat in the Burghley queue for an hour this morning trying to get junior up north to start Uni.

Only bright spot was a grey +4 up near Doncaster with a collie of some sort sat in the passenger seat. Looked very much at home . Reg ?44MOG.

Do you get your picture taken more in a yellow car?

Don't think so, but it's an odd feeling seeing yellow up front, and not seeing the fuel gauge go down!!!!!!!

Very nice Dave! Interesting your comments regarding the suspension.....I find my Roadster so much more planted on the road than the 4/4.......all that extra engine weight! I prefer not to look at my fuel gauge......quite a difference from the 40mpg plus I was getting shocked2

I wonder if that was you heading north today Dave?
I did spot a yellow trad on the opposite carriageway.
It's funny, I think we've only seen two Mogs while on holiday - the first was also bright yellow, passed us just after we'd joined the M42 heading north last Monday - a LHD VX13 plate. swmbo now extremely worried by L44FOR's colour!! laugh2
The other today - must have been you... smile
Meanwhile, I had a phone call a little after 10:00, just as I was trying to get out of a garage forecourt at Morpeth from Neil at BHM - mine is READY!! grin2
Oh yes, and missed Asbo and Tom at Wetherby services...
