I am wanting to add a couple of electrical bits and pieces to my 2011 plus4 over the winter months.
I would like to do it correctly by using the correct specification wire (both colour and gauge) and fused correctly.
Can you suggest suitable books/manuals to buy to help me with the electrics?

Gauge depends on load, easy to buy roughly right gauge car wire as it is sold as suitable for so many amps.

Colour codes, look here

Can't help with a book though, I'm dreadful for just getting on with it, but I am a bit overqualified as a wireman.

Believe it or not, have a look at the Haynes ones.
There are far more in depth books - for college coursework, but doubt you need to go that deep... smile

I was just about to suggest the same. I have one for motorbikes which has been very useful over the years.

A good supplier of electrical wiring and components is Vehicle Wiring Products

You going to let on about what you are planning?

PS. Planning to go to The Speed Final at Shelsley or Prescott Autumn Classic..would be nice to meet up with you both again.

I brought a Haynes one for the same reason. Very pleased.

I will be at the Prescott round - for obvious reasons!
Planning to hit Castle Combe on October 19th for the final round, too... Usually free entry smile

Thanks Guys,
Martin, very useful. I will print that off and keep for reference.
Graham, I had thought about haynes, Halfords Evesham did not have a copy in last week when I looked. Had read mixed reviews. However will get a copy on your, Richards and Jays recommendantion.
Jays, Not sure about the classic, will txt you if we do. We did miss the breakfast meeting last week!
As far as electrics are concerned nothing special, just to wire-in the CTEK charger directly to the battery and maybe an extra power socket, plus an interior/footwell lamp.

Please remember an inline fuse if you wire the CTEK directly
