Interestingly the diff case on the 4/4/"Plus4" is ridged longitudinally on the underside whereas my Roadster has an unridged diff case.
So something has changed along the way.

4.1 was factory fit option when car was built, I did mention the whine to service dept but it was not so bad that I couldn't live with it
