Here's a reminder of my A post mod. Here you can see the factory neoprene stuck to the A post:
Here I've added a rear facing piece:
It just overlaps the edge and the idea is that it should deflect water away from the sidescreens.
And from the front:
4/4's only get one horn, so I sourced a couple from e-bay.
Mr Bumble has a vinyl hood and sidescreens, including the insides. I just had enough mohair to be able to line the insides. The key is to cut accurately, and use aerosol adhesive.
It began like this:
And here it is - completed:
I tried to make some seals as I did on the Roadster, but that method didn't work this time, so for now some simple neoprene seals. I'll have another go when I have more time.
The sidescreen fixings can be tweaked - here as standard:
And now with a painted and lacquered drawing pin, pin shortened and fixed with double sided tape.
I've struggled with the cowl, as it won't sit square. But after some serious modding, I've squared it up and stuck some leather over the top half. The lower half will take much more fiddling so must wait:
Back underneath for the final shot today. The steering column u/j is exposed and can be better protected with a neoprene seal - at the front of "the box"...........
