If you dont fancy doing the Highlands in the trike, Hire a Morgan 4 wheeler and do it in that . Mercs are for Motorways .

I used it in the US a few years ago.

Ordered a Hertz GT350 Mustang hard-top. When arriving all of them were "out on rent" so they gave me a soft-top.

When I went to the row there were three hard-tops so I asked one of the nearby people and they told me that those three were "broken, really broken". Customer abuse.

I took the soft-top and got about 30 miles up 101 before the gearbox almost fell out of the car as I came off the slip road.

They tried to give me a Chevy Malibu whilst they sorted out another one. I demanded a Corvette, this at least worked.

If you use it then check the car very carefully prior to accepting it. The staff told me the US fleet was a serious problem as people took them for a day and ragged them. It was almost impossible to keep them fully working.

I rented Corvettes from Hertz on several visits to the U.S.,most of them were quite good.Oh,and there was that Ferrari on the Cote D'Azur,that one broke down
