That's a great video .
The trouble with wrapping the headers is you lose the glowing red hot in the dark feature !

she's just the sort of Morgan driver we need on TM! I do like those wrapped headers! I had to watch the video again saw she and wrapped headers and thought it was code for something I'd missed.

Not sure about the wrapping - what is the point of this? As I get it on old bikes it was used to dissipate heat - or prevent getting legs burned! Do we need either on the M3W ? does it look good? IMO no!

Not sure about the wrapping - what is the point of this?
Technically, it's not to protect legs from hot bits, it's to keep the heat in the pipe to prevent turbulence in the gas flow near to the 'colder' pipe walls. Modern equivalent is ceramic or other insulating coating to try to keep the gas temps even across the flow. However wrapped pipes do look quite retro, as that's what folks used to do in the olden days before ceramic coatings were invented.... ish!

Mine sure was! After a second to deep second degree burn om my leg I wrapped the part after the shield. It works well, too!
Many people, including kids, just walk right up to the car, not realizing how hot he exhausts are. Donīt want to be responsible for that.

Its so dangerous for people Whose dont care about exhaust
