Tried that and I still just get the link - not the photo..

That is my way to post pictures here: I go to photobucket and on the side with my photos as thumbnails and there under each thumbnail is a list of six "adresses", I "copied" the string after IMG, went back to this thread and "pasted" this string after I pressed the "enter an image" button. Then I see the stuff above my picture. Then I edit this by deleting the [img] and [\img] at the beginning and the end and I delete the ~option and then, the picture is there after returning to the forum.

Same thing but without the ~original after the .jpg The site can only recognise as an image, stuff that ends in .jpg

You can always just attach an image (with caption) to your post using the "File Manager" link below the text box when you are makeing a post or replying in the full reply screen. The image can be up to 3.91 MB but I would recommend no more than 800 x 600 which is adequate for viewing in a post. You can attach up to 5 images that way and you don't have to worry about Photobucket or any other system.
