Just been watching some of Fred's old films on iPlayer and wondered what had happened to his house and outdoor workshop. Happily, it is now run by a supporters club and is open to the public. A lovely man, years ago a mate asked me to a dinner where Fred was going to speak. had a pint with him in the bar beforehand. What a character.

He came to a Northumberland steam rally years ago and I had a quick chat very down to earth nice man . Bit late in telling me about his home I have been shooting along the M62 and often thought to kill the dull drive I would take a look . Now I dont use that road anymore.
