Greetings, Morganites of the known Universe!
I have been a faithful BMW driver for 20 years, and have had 3 different Z3, 2 Z4 with soft top and one Z4 with folding metal roof. The last beast was wonderful, and is from 2010, but has logged 72000 km. Ordinary Sports cars tend to drop like rocks in value after 100 000 km. So, our ways had to part. I found a new Boxter S absolutely chock full of equipment, and a Maserati GranCabrio, blue with cream leather, 2011 and only 12000 km. And the white and red Morgan plus 8 2013 that did a show tour to China with Charles and Kiera...
Most normal people would choose the Boxster. Some the Maserati.
A very precious few the Morgan.

I will need them. I live in the countryside and have 30 km to my workplace. I intend to DRIVE the plus 8 even in winter, as long as there is no unreasonable amount of snow. I have ordered studded winter tyres for the original wheels and intend to greet Spring with summer tyres on the aeromax wheels. I also intend to cosset my Snow queen and give her a new walnut board and a new steering wheel, courtesy of the Magician, Herr Lutz Leberfinger.
So, whenever he is ready, I will take my own princess in the Snow Queen and jet down to Hamburg. It will be my first Morgan Holiday. If there is interest in the community, I can supply information on how the Plus 8 behaves in frigid conditions...
Cheers to You all, gentle Morganites. I hope I will make You all proud with my foolhardy exploits. I love the look of my Morgan. I just think it would be dreadful for her to be all alone in a garage all day....

Brave people there in Sweden! Didn't you had to wait for a 4WD Morgan? Nevertheless, lots of driving pleasure and be sure the nose is first, than the tail!

Dear Ruut, tks for the welcome from You and Kurt. I also have a BMW X3 3.0 sd with energy boost and 326 diesel Hp. It comes in handy when the snow falls. Can´t see any reason why Snow Queen must be isolated in a shed when the roads are dry though. The Aircondition and heating is actually very good in the cabin.
No waiting time for the car due to it being the demonstration vehicle. I took it for a spin, let my incredibly understanding spouse do the same, and BANG, there we were. Caught in the Morgan World of Unreason.

Even on Winter tyres that should be very entertaining on the snow.
