Peter said "any dealer who sells a M3W to a person lacking the "right" attitude is going to end up with an unhappy owner" and I couldn't help wondering how one would define the "right attitude"?

Attitude may be the wrong word. I am guessing that nearly all who have bought and kept a M3W actually fell in love with the original version at least 40 years ago and were just waiting for day Morgan started making them again. The press and Morgan hype at launch definitely attracted some potential customers who would have been doomed to unhappiness had they gone ahead and bought one. The launch event I went to was chock full of ageing yuppies looking forward to "super car performance at a fraction of the cost". I do wonder if CM's influence could been a factor here. It isn't a super car, it's a cycle car and we forget this at our peril.
Did anyone else find laughable the idea that by buying the M3W we were helping the environment!!!

What are saying Matty? Do you mean that my M3W is not as environentally respnsible as I thought? Do I have to sell it and buy a Pious now? Oh no,shock horror.

Hi Paul
I just found the PC blurb in the sales brochure rather missed the point.
However I do drive an Ampera as my daily so I can claim some dubious environmental credentials. Before the uncontrolled laughter takes over, I can honestly say that the power delivery from electric motors is awesome
Now this is controversial. I would drive a range extended version of the m3w. nice 350cc v twin linked to generator instead of gearbox, some lithium iron batts and a electric motor in the rear hub
oh dear what have said

Even with batteries it might weigh less.
I'm sure they make the chassis out of scaffolding tube.

I would have a hybrid or full electric car if the range was better, and my car didn't stand idle for such long periods.

An electric Caterham anybody? Now that would be impressive with super lightweight batteries.

Gota say the ampera has been a revelation.
300 mile range all on electric motors. engine just runs to power generator so max torque available at all times. acceleration 0-30 is very good.
30 mile range on batteries but my commute is 30 mile a day and it costs me £1.50 to charge.
Ride is great Handling not so.
Dealers are awful.
If anyone from Morgan reads this! I genuinely would trial a range extended three wheeler, it could just work.
