I don't allow Windows anywhere near my Mac!! I won't let Mac get near my PC! I tried Tyre with my TomTom GO 1000 but it does not integrate well with that version. I believe the earlier and perhaps latest version of TomTom software allows better integration with Tyre.

Just some comments from my experience.
EBay is a wash with satnavs Waze on the iPhone and android uses live information and is very effective Many map apps now offer downloading to avoid bills on GSM and connection issues, some are even free !
Go for the largest screen size you can fit on the dash for safety. Fit in the corner not the middle for road law.
I use the iPhone or iPad Mini for everything in the car now. I even prefer it to the built in unit in the MB just delivered.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

My advice is to get one with a volume control..and turn it down..can't abide the constant nagging!!
It only needs a quick scan like the rest of the dash & as most can't describe accurately, having a visual saves a lot of stress.
Just had a double din audio setup installed in my lovebus that includes a built in twatnav. Not sure who's software this is, but I've got a very clever purple straight line between me and the destination so that even if I miss an instruction I always know if I'm heading in the right direction.
I think they're marvellous bits of kit & wouldn't want to be without one now. For leisure time bimbling I still enjoy poring over maps with a cuppa, though. Can't let technology take over completely, can we..?

To be honest they are all much of a muchness, the more you pay the more 'functionality' you get. They are all pretty intuitive to use. I would suggest you go to Currys or similar have a play and base your decision on that. I had a very old tomtom go and replaced the battery twice, maps were way out of date but it got me to client sites in confusing places like Derby and Reading it finally gave up the ghost completely. Now have a low end garmin that does the basics I need. I made my decision by working out the functionality I needed read the Which report, narrowed it down to 4 devices and spent a fair bit of time in Currys playing and then buying. I cannot get overly excited by them. Good luck there is bewildering amount of choice out there Pete

Some Morgan prefer the satnavs designed for bikes. Waterproof with larger buttons for when wearing gloves.

If you have a polished wood dash you can stick it on the dash next to the glovebox. Others prefer differnt places. On the small screen of a trad there is not much space.
If you search on the forum there are some threads on this subject.

I have a sat nav that is old & in a square case. I stuck veclro tape to the top and also to the underside of the leather roll on the dash. It works a treat but blocks the 4 small instruments

I've got a TomTom XL. Even though I fully charge it before I plug it in to the car, it shows low battery after an hour or so. Then shuts down. Apparently running off the car isn't enough (!?) Check some of the comments on the net, seems to be a common problem.

Some cheap Chinese adapters have limited current capacity and don't charge the TomTom properly.
