We are going especially since my Xmas present should be there, a Gulf Race Carry All. The Misses couldn't find one anywhere so we opted to wait till Le Mans. On another note I was thinking of striping the Max up with the Gulf Orange Decal, what do you think and what number should it wear.

I am in two minds over this, but only because I have been to the past three Le Classics.

This year the PaddyMogs will not be there -- decided to give it a miss having been there for the last 2 events -- perhaps to Spain instead!!
Cheers!

For me LeMans is one of my favourite holidays and if you count the main event and the classic, 2014 with be probably my 20th visit (maybe more but cant be bothered to work it out). So I cannot wait for it to come round.

I'm feeling a bit disillusioned at the moment. Time wise we can really only be there Friday evening and then Saturday and Sunday at the track. We have been trying to find accommodation at a reasonable price. Most places within a reasonable distance are already booked out. We had one reply from a chambres d'hôtes that is normally €90 a night. They have decided that for this event they want a minimum of 3 nights, I can go with that, but what I can't accept is that they want €375 per night! This seems to be fairly typical of the attitude of any of the establishments that have any rooms vacant. To be honest I feel it is such a rip off that not only have I decided to give up the whole idea if I don't find something reasonable in the next few hours but most likely I will avoid the whole area in the future as though it were a malodorous swamp.
