Pale coloured mohair will stain and look grubby quite quickly. Black is much better but will develop rub marks and crease marks very quickly if folded most of the time.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the black everflex traditional hood on Bumble. It's easier to put up and down than I imagined it would be and with practice I can now do it as quick as the easy up on the Roadster. A mohair would look more luxurious, but then its rarely up......(not that I'm posturing). innocent

The original Everflex hood of my DB5 is now 49 years old and is still perfect, and it looks much better than mohair !
Only the plastic rear window is new.

Everflex is wipe clean and essentially zero maintenance. Mohair looks nicer but requires work and care. Your choice!

I have the black mohair and I think it looks a lot smarter than Everflex. It does require a bit more maintenance, but not that much and with reasonable care it should stay looking good for years.

@Ruud: This is strengthen my decision to get an everflex hood.
Impressive collection of number plates, too.

This actually makes sense to me.

I may simply comission a new tonneau in dark red mohair and keep the roof and screens in the beige everflex. Especially as the roof will likely be put up only in emergencies and will spend its life folded in the back.

Our '72 4/4 has Everflex. Only had to replace the plastic rear window. It does shrink. Just put it out in the sun a while. Or use a hair dryer.

if it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.
