As above really, prices are not hugely different; at the moment I have Everflex everything but it's starting to look scruffy and I will probably replace it in spring if I have time via Allonwhite's workshop.
What are the pros and cons of each? Everflex seems to be wipe-clean, waterproof and instantly drying, mohair seems to be the opposite of those things and in the very pale brown/beige colour I'd want would probably hold dirt terribly (my car is for all year round). Or with my royal ivory car with dark red trim, perhsp it's time to simply change to red screens and roof!
Thoughts and experiences would be much appreciated!

I have beige Everflex. Always looks smart, and needs a clean once a year.

A vote for Mohair, in black. Wipe clean, any "environmental (= bird poo)" marks come out with carpet stain remover. After going out in the rain it dries a bit slowly, but looks fantastic once it has tried and lightly brushed. But pale colours? Not sure, like a light coloured carpet I reckon you could treat it with Scotchguard. Scotchguard Dark red could look fantastic! .

Shaun steered us to everflex when we had our hood done 5 years ago. A friend's +4 has a burgundy Mohair hood and, at around 6 years old, it looks a bit grubby. If you go the Mohair route, you will need to be more diligent about keeping it clean. I am sure everflex shrinks when cold though......

We chose mohair and I would do so again, I just think it looks smarter. In a previous post I reported on the use of Raggtopp Cleaner and Raggtopp Protectant that is recommended by the manufacturers of the material. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/145820Our top is 100% waterproof even in the heaviest rain. The material is a sandwich of woven acrylic cloth and a waterproof membrane.

I used Renovo on my canvas and mohair hoods for proofing. Haven't erected the neverflex on the current car, yet...

Thanks chaps. Firstly I am not a 'maintenace sort' and secondly it would be only in emergencies I would erect the hood anyway or when staying at a hotel etc. Everflex does shrink when cold but I doubt the car will ever get that cold. I'll either replace like for like, but if I went dark red, it would be mohair otherwise it would look a bit plasticky... Thanks as always

I have a dark green Mohair tonneau on my three wheeler it seems easy enough to keep clean , but the passenger side which is on a lot of the time has stretched a lot ,and is now quite loose . Don't know if this would happen with hoods ?

I cracked a frontscreen once while fitting a shrinked everflex hood in a hurry. Recently changed everything to mohair, and like it a lot, much nicer look and feel. But don't let cats walk and lie on the tonneau, because their nails and the mohair don't go together!

We have lots of seagulls over 'ere so everflex for me every time! Also Mohair fades in time. I only use the hood as and when required anyway so everflex easier to fold/store and maintain, and cheaper too!
