Just when I thought things were going the right way!
My car awaits:
Bevel box, new exhausts, bump steer mod and rectifier bobbins. Plus different rectifier bracket.
Now I am told from the dealer they want car back at Malvern! At my cost.
Here is costs of mods:
Steering comfort pack - £198.00
Bevel box NVH - £474.00
Fan urban cooling kit - £150.00
So I am expected to get it a few hundred miles and back!
My expensive ornament is in my garage with repaired exhausts (at my cost) screaming bevel box from new and bump steer galore which adores Scottish roads.
Should I be taking it to the factory? Braying the top two above.
I thought about keeping it but now ......

I just don't understand the factory. I thought under the new management team, that they would be bending over backwards for customer satisfaction. There should be no reason why an experienced dealer like RPM, or whatever they are now called, should not be able to do the mods for you.

I haven't heard any official information to explain it, either. I understand the arguments regarding costings for MMC, but on the face of it, it seems very disproportionate.
Why don't you speak to the factory direct & discuss? Seems reasonable..

Is it an easy installation?does the fan kick in automatically?

If i want to install the urban cooling,these wires don't seem long enough to move out of the way,or to the side maybe?or will i have to do longer connections here? The factory should do instruction manuals for these upgrades,to make it easier on all...should i take the risk & order the fan,and see if its possible to install it here in q8...i dont really need the comfort kit,but if im at it,i might also order it [url=[URL=http://s1349.photobucket.com/user/Q8morgan/media/image_zps5b8feced.jpg.html]  [/url]][/url]

I understand your frustration! Both my dealer in Toulouse and its partner company (nearer to my home, where I plan to have servicing done) are involved in racing. They know what they are up to. If this factory-fitting requirement is confirmed, it will annoy a lot of people...

I'm waiting to hear from my dealer about having the ' comfort' kit fitted , it doesn't look exactly complicated or time consuming to fit , so it does seem odd that it and the other mods can only be done at the factory .
As for the new management team Jays , aren't they the same people with a few more of them made directors ?
