I was horrified when I went to a football match (only two in 53 years as I am a rugby fan) and a wee lad offered the driver to "watch your car mister?" the driver said his car would be fine as the Rotweiler was in it. The wee lad asked if the dog could put out fires?

I had rescued a Rottweiler puppy (Henna) back in 2002 and she was one of the smartest, most loyal and loving dogs that I have ever had. She passed away due to cancer last September. So Meghann and I started looking for Boerboel puppies due this spring. Then I thought about what kind of life Henna would have had if I didn't save her, so we expanded our search for dogs in need as long as they were young.
We happened across Duke online and he ticked all the boxes; young, purebred, house broken, no bad habits, good on a leash, full obidience schooling and good with kids and other animals. We were the only people out of 40 to pass the adoption screening and Duke came to live with us. Kinda like it was meant to be.
