Good eye - Yes this is the Avon Coupe, known by some as 'Uncle George's Winter Carriage.' It is the oldest DHC, as it was the prototype for the production model. It's most likely is the only prewar Morgan Series 1 DHC running in the US. I know of a few other pre war DHCs in restoration around the world, but don't know of any yet complete. Perhaps the readers of this might know of others?

Truly beautiful car. I was there that day and stopped by to chat with you about MogSouth--I joined shortly thereafter. I remember your telling me that the most difficult part about Amelia Island was the perfection expected and the hours you spent cleaning the undercarriage.
I'll be there again this year March 8th.
