Just testing to see if I have cracked how to post photos here...

This was near the northern limit of the Var this morning, the village of Trigance in the background.




[Edit] Well, it worked. I am not sure why (and even less sure why it didn't work on previous occasions, when I went through the same procedure!).

This is the haut haut Var, by the way, not only the northern end, but altitude around 800m above sea level, still with some snow in the ditches and some treacherously slippery patches in the shadows. I was planning to go a bit further north to Aiguines, beside the Lac Sainte-Croix, but the road was closed due to a recent rockfall.

Nice, and well done for getting the picture on the forum Peter. I must find out how to do it now, I've got no excuse!

look at that sky, fantastic. Although it has to be said, Taunton was very similar today.
