Well this morning dawned slightly showery, and a bit windy, but I decided to take a trip out. Until MrsW retired two years ago, I had Saturdays to myself, so was often out at the crack of dawn. It's not so easy now, but I brokered a deal, and took a ride over to see uncle Phil at Ledgerwoods. The round trip is about 110miles, on A and B roads and takes an hour and twenty minutes each way. Bumble is amazing on fuel compared to the Roadster. The gauge hardly moves. I hope it's not stuck on 3/4!!! HaHa. I picked up a set of Librands door checks, which I fitted when I got home.
I've also sorted out how to fix the sat nav base. Garmin do a flat circular plate which fits to the dash with double sided tape. I didn't want to put this in a prominent place so I've tucked it in the nearside corner. Not exactly in line of sight but MrsW will be with me most of the time when its in use, to relay the information. After pondering the use of a carbon fibre disc to cover the black shiny plastic when not in use, I've settled on a disc of fine grained leather, glued to a disc of self stick (peel off easily) plastic, so it now looks half decent. Finally I've made a tonneau cover stick from MissW's old curtain frill pole, and covered it with shrink wrap. It fits across the car behind the seats and slots between the hood frames. It holds the front of the hood cover/small tonneau, and reduces interference with the seat belts. I'll post some pics when I get time.

Probably get round to it tomorrow G. I've been changing the bathroom basin and cupboard today. Nine years since I did the bathroom - astonishing where that's gone. Since then we've had the radiator changed (corrosion under the powder coating), and a replacement shower. This time I've replaced the bath side due to yellowing, and the new one fought me all the way, being ever so slightly deeper than the one which came off. The cupboard under the sink has suffered from damp and condensation in winter, and was looking tired. And I found that I couldn't just buy a new cupboard to fit the basin so we ended up with all new, and it's wider and shallower than the old one. So today I've been fighting the plumbing, and cutting a hole in the new unit for the waste. All good fun, but now I'm ready for sunday dinner and some red wine..........

I've shared your suffering. Plumbing isn't my favourite DIY activity, much prefer electricity!

The Tonneau pole sounds good:I run Aldermog with the Williams Wind deflector, so on each side there are the mounting points that cry out to be used to take a "micto tonneau pole" to cover the folded hood and the space behind the seats.

I don't want to butcher the full mohair tonneau, so any suggestions as to where I could get one made?
