Jays - I forgot to mention your favourite mod - the 4:1 crown - makes a real difference .
Graham - my series has a Turner engine with a galvanised chassis and bulkhead - so will out live me!! ( note for LR fans!)

Excellent Gerry. My 90 was rebuilt, chassis and bulkhead repaired and galvanised 3 years ago, plus lots of other ironwork has been through the galvanising process. As you say, it will outlive me (assuming there's any fuel left to  it!).
