So 24 hours into Supersport ownership - time for some first impressions.
I'll start with the bad!!
- I am nursing a broken little toe on my left foot at the moment, which does not sit well on the left foot rest in the narrow footwell

- Returning to the car after shopping means opening it - putting the key in the ignition, turning once, hitting the boot button

- I have had to tape the flapping rubber (to be replaced at the factory in 2 weeks) to stop it - well - flapping!

- Finally it would appear that both doors have dropped a little and rubbed down to bare aluminium!

Now I have got that out of the way:
WOW
BLOODY WOW
What a car!!
It is like strapping yourself to Thor's hammer and going into battle or faced with a siren jumping into a Spitfire and heading into the skies to tackle a hoard of German fighters.
The drive back from Zurich was a steady affair - until I got into Zurich and decided to treat the sun-drenched city to the Malvern version of the "Ride of the Valkries". Light throttle pressure can make the Supersport a docile thing - but more than an inch of movement and solid buildings begin to shake! The interior oozes special from every last thickly leather covered panel. The alcantara and quilted seats might not be the last word in comfort but they hold my shoulders tight and make the trip along the twisties over the hill a delight. The less said about the low speed rough road ride quality the better!
A 599 owning friend popped over this morning to see what all the fuss was about and was hynotised by the SS as soon as he set eyes on it. And enjoyed every thrum, crackle and bellow of the engine as we blatted around the local countryside.
The car has to double as a reasonably practical car in my life - so it has already completed a trip to the drinks shop for a crate of water and some beer. Something the boot swallows with ease.
I am finding the fuel gauge hilarious with its 15% swing depending on corner direction and despite the odd blatt, a rather parsimonious outlook on fuel consumption - 175km on 1/4 tank so far!!
The final bit of good news of side exhaust owners everywhere - there is no special certificate, no conformity document - standard fit - apparently!!
Absolutely loving the car!!!
