Nice run out today from Stoke Fleming to Newton Abbot via Buckfastleigh and return via Kingskerswell, Totnes.
Cheery waves from Morris 8, Black E type and a "Saint Volvo" in Gold metallic driven by a Judy also big smiles and waves.

Sounds like a nice run with some good roads now the water has subsided  in early February getting to Totnes to register mothers death was a challenge even in they Freelander, now the roads have dried out yippee Pete Edit due to spelling/my thick fingers

What a miserable journey that must have been. Luckily the weather seems to be more favourable now, you got a trip out planned at all Pete ? I got mine in today as my wife had another engagement and tomorrow we shall be visiting her Mum after a bit of ringing and Mothering Sunday service. Last time I saw my mother I was 18 Months old so not much of a miss for me !

Ran my wife across to visit her mother yesterday - good blast across from Reading to Milford via Hartley Witney.
Only downside is that it has been " decided " that my mods make the car too noisy!! - so in the interest of using the passenger seat ever again - looking at either putting standard exhaust back on - or fitting the acoustic trim to the Librands?
Will wait to see what the garage guys suggest tomorrow - as probably now over 100db- which would be useless for any more track days anyway, so I have to sort something,

Good luck...I found the acoustic trim next to useless on my 4/4. 98db when tested last year at Castle Combe. I knew it was noisy but not that noisy!

Castle Combe's sound meter seems to read high, particularly towards the end of a season. And yes, I know they have to be calibrated by an independent test house each year...

Castle Combe's sound meter seems to read high, particularly towards the end of a season. And yes, I know they have to be calibrated by an independent test house each year... Would be nice for someone at Castle Combe to be able to use the noise tester properly!

 Agreed! I haven't got full Environmental Scrutineer license, so can't do it...
