The diffuser is a standard fitment now when side pipes are specified.

Hi Steve, do a search under movie & video section, you should be able to find a few side pipes videos...

I have also viewed a new 4.8 and it did not have the rear air diffuser but it did have side pipes.

A quote from August edition of EVO mag testing Aeromax...

" You've probably noticed that this car has side-exit exhaust poking through its sills. These are technically an option, but if you're buying an Aero then they should be considered a must. Hammering through a tunnel of freshly green-leafed oak trees with the throttle wide open and the windows down, the noise is huge and physical, trembling the branches, tunmbling into the car, filling your cars and engulfing everything...."

I rest my case coffee

There is a certain novelty and coolness about having side pipes but as I move on in years I'm becoming less of a hooligan. oldgit

Still think it sounds like a missfire. innocent

SPS or CRAP

Having just had a lenghthy conversation with Phil Legerwood I'm now 'undecided' on sidepipes and rear exits confused

Phil's S4 Auto will be deliverd at the end of July and I've booked a test. Phil fits his own design, ss rear exit system which he feels give the best 'stereo' sound. happy3

Phil did say he thought the sidepipe cars did look fanatastic.

Having driven a couple of S3's with Sidepipes I'm familiar with the 'Spitfire blatt' but I'm going to resreve making a decision until I've heard Phil's 'stero' system and the Librands rear exits

Maybe we should organise a get togther and have a 'sound off' for the undecided englandwave

Yours officially 'undecided' Andy
