Yes, any NEW model released and type approved since 2011 is supposed to have DRL. I'm not sure if Morgan escapes this because they are a low volume producer or if the product range lives on prior type approvals. I suspect that a traditional Morgan does not require type approval due to the fact the basic design has not changed for a long time, just engines, gearboxes and rear axle when Salisbury's were no longer used. Also due to the low volume produced each year.

The 2011 rule only applies to new models produced after 2011. So if MMC produce a completely new model it would require DRL.

Neil Exactly. Also why MMC has been able to ignore airbags and seatbelt warning and other nanny like devices for so long. Although talking to one of the SW Morgan dealer team I discovered new GDIs for the UK market have seat belt warning lights amd other stuff.

Hi Alexander,my d/d module was in front of driver, under the dash, to the right hand above the steering column; a 3.4 x 4 cm black sealed compound thing with 8 wires protruding from it.

Thanks Colin. It turns out the garage had removed it when they were rebuilding the my car.
Sadly, that meant that I had to replace the indicator stalk, as the contacts had burned out. :-(
