A few years ago I was given a Clarke CIR24 cordless impact driver.
Works fine some days and not great other days, the bearings have now gone.
I assume Clarke will not sell parts for a low end £100 gun.
So time to buy a new wrench.
I have a toy air compressor so I would need a new compressor to properly drive an air gun, therefore I will go for a cordless drive.
The top end Ingersol Rand is circa £500 but do not want to buy a Clarke one every few years.
What would the panel suggest.
I would use it a few days a week, some weeks not used

Don't assume Clarke don't supply what you need until you ask: Bits for Clarke tools Their spare parts operation is quite good!

I too didnt have much thought for a Clarke product, however in 2007 i urgently needed a combined cordless Drill, £27 it blew up 2 weeks ago after millions of rotionary use.

A sufficient air compressor (you don't need a huge industrial one for a home shop) and a few good air tools (impact wrench, cut off wheel, etc.) will cost less that you think. Certainly less than 500 GBP. I would look to see what you can get at a fair price. These should last you a good long time.

I phoned up Clark as the link above and now I have an "exploded view" via email of the Impact wrench with all the parts linked to a part number.
So I will see if it comes to bits and check to see what parts are faulty and if they are available to order.

Took it to bits and the only thing that maybe was worn was the motor. Cost £51.84 with Vat and postage. New CIR220 that is the latest version circa £108 so not worth repairing as you get a new unit and two new batteries.
Gave it a lube and put it back together and working fine but for how long?
So a new better quality unit it will be.
