Pressures are spot on John. The shimmy/vibration is dependant on road surface.

As others have said, the finger points at front suspension alignment, wheel bearings or less likely but vaguely possibly a distorted front hub. Even less likely is that the rear axle isn't square to the car.
Williams sold you the car, it isn't right and they should sort it or swap it.

Can't comment your issue Mr S, but for Tuftie, it is always worth checking that the damper blades (fitted on cars of tha age) are set correctly, clean and greased.

I doubt it is a faulty hub as Williams replace the hub when they fit new kingpins. It's definitely front end, the rear is vibration free. I'm suspecting the front end alignment needs checking. My old 4/4 Sport suffered similarly but fitting Suplex cured that. Sadly didn't on the Roadster.
I guess I should stop driving over 70mph!

Only just spotted this comment Mr S. . . .  I would consider a direct swap for Stanley, (which doesn't suffer any steering vibration problems); however I am concerned that the torque may be less than I am used to.

Pressures are spot on John. The shimmy/vibration is dependant on road surface. I agree with Aldermog. Something to do with wheel alignment combined with more or less road surface friction. Wet road should give less vibration.

John. Just a way out thought. Could it be that the disks are out of balance? They represent a fair rotating mass and if there is a casting or machining fault no amount of wheel balancing is ever going to fix it.

It's going back to Williams soon for a new sump so I'll get them to have another look at it.
The reference to the Elise was a bit tongue in cheek.....it should make Howard and Easter smile. Not the car to turn up at the factory in!
