For what it’s worth, other "Registries" I have cars registered on all use VIN numbers [the last 4 digits].
If one wants to get very detailed; VIN, Chassis, Body Frame, and Engine numbers are all part of each M3W’s pedigree.
Why is that the last four numbers of the VIN start with "2"? For example, mine is the 931st M3W to leave the factory and its VIN ends in "2931". Presumably the 1000th (assuming there is only one of them) has the VIN "3000". But that would be logical..... Up to a point... But wouldn't it be even more logical if car number one had VIN "0001", and so on?

Inspired by tales of Whisky running across the Cairn O'Mount by Tim, I'd like to see a thread similar to that in the Classic section, "Have you driven your Three Wheeler Today?" as a sticky. So far, so me good suggestions have emerged & the Register thread has taken off already. If anyone has any other ideas, stick them in because I'll be asking Simon to sticky some up in a few days time or we'll lose the impetus.
