As I am new to the forum and have not knowingly met any of the other members (although I have been to a couple of Williams Automobiles open days and also last year's Thrill on the Hill) I was wondering what the other members thought about wearing name badges so that at the various gatherings we could easily put faces to the names we had seen on the forum but not met in person. These could be simple clip-on clear plastic holders (as available at many stationers) and could contain a piece of paper printed with our real name and also our forum name.
If you do not think it is a good idea, I'll crawl back into my cave.

I like the idea! I just wish I was close enough to attend.
Maybe, if my car ever makes it out of the shop, I could take it across the channel this summer. Hmmm...

No need to crawl anywhere Keith. ID on internet forums is always a problem and putting faces to names is one of the most difficult things. I wholeheartedly back your idea.

I remember at a big IPC function, the Managing Director said to me, "Peter, why aren't you wearing your name badge?"
I replied, "Well, you know you I am. Is there anyone else important here?" He didn't seem to be very amused. I fished my name badge out of my pocket.

You could have Talk Morgan lapel pins made just to identify other forum members from a glance at the local meets.
