Doesn't look to bad! We had the privilege to stay in Lombardia and Tuscany the last 2 weeks, and we have hit some marvelous roads! Only the quality of the roadsurface is terrible in especially Tuscany, many, many potholes. Better in France?

I would like to think I'll get similar on our Highland tour in a month's time, but somehow I'm pretty sure  will be required! Looks a great road and superb weather Moggo...

 After the UK and its worsening potholes even on some motorways ( M5 Parkway junction to Tiverton for example ), French roads are a joy... The speed humps need great respect however... At Bandol near Marsailles some humps were put along the sea front road and the first time in use local buses grounded and had to be rescued from the stranding - like beached whales.

Retirement is best taken early - I suffered at first from guilt feelings at doing not very much and had to do something else to bridge the gap. At 70 I now really enjoy my freedom.
