Nick - Good idea and I’m see no reason why it couldn’t be done but music in a Morgan, gasp! Not for me! I did however think I might add attachment points for a wind stop along the lines of DaveW’s.

Dave – Thank you very much for doing the swap around. I had my suspicions that it would work but MR said they had done the same but were unsuccessful. I might take my first trip along to Williams then and see what they have to say given that I believe they now have an upholstering facility. I’m just a bit nervous about going there. The reports here on TM are quite scary. Everybody who goes seems to come away with plus 4, a Roadster or at the very least a set of throttle bodies!

I remain very confused/undecieded over the Radio/Music issue! confused

Until I've had a chance to drive or be driven in a Morgan fitted with a good sound system I cannot form an opinion.

Do I want to have the option to listen to music? Possibly, but an analysis of when I listen to music in any car has clearly highlighted that it is only on long motorway trips when I'm on my own it does seem that the need for music in Aldermog is very small.

Aldermog is not redio prepared: IF I ever conclude that a Radio/Music Player is the way to go then the headrest fitting is a good approach. But as swmbo is opposed to the idea it may never happen.

I personally.. never liked the look of headrests on a morgan, so always have taken them off my cars.

Dave, maybe there's a bolt in the newer channels (necessitating the groove in the headrest post) which, by friction holds the headrest at any chosen height. So the older ones can't get past the bolt (or whatever it is) so stay higher and loose?

I have a radio in mine, the factory one. No good for music, and when driving I don't really like music anyway....one of the mog joys is a clear head for driving, no psychic sleeping....but if I stop for sandwiches, or a break I like to listen to radio 4 news or whatever. It's good to have the radio just for those times.

Back to the headrests not fitting. The single pillasr is 22.5cm long (not a problem). It is 32mm x 17mm in cross section which is exactly the same size as the eperture I am trying to fit them into, hence the problem. Harpers will take them back but I am still intrigued a to why they will not fit my car

Hi Pete - I don’t know if this will help you but I just happen to have my tube sizes on a piece of paper in front of me. How sad is that! My tubes measure between 30.6 to 30.2 and 18 to 17.6. They are crushed towards the bottom to 15 and 15.5mm.

Thanks Roger, clearly that couple of mm is making all the difference and mine have no taper or crush at the end.
