About 3000 miles per annum, mostly abroad. The roads are too crowded in this country so I virtually always use the bike for pleasure when I'm home.

Now 3 yrs on - enjoy - but don`t forget to grease the kingpins at least every 1k - I do mine about every 600.

Thanks, I bought a new grease gun on Monday gave her 3 squirts per nipple blush I sure she appreciated it love

My lovely Audrey is a 2004 4/4 (the one with the 1.8 Zetec).

I'm planning a trip to Scotland in her this year (third time there) and she was my only car for the first 4 years of her life. Daily commutes, shopping and so on and she lived outdoors in all weathers while I tried to restore a boat in the garage (failed btw, thanks for asking)

Anyway - current mileage on the clock is 105950. Yes, six figures.

No major problems really - 3 radiators and one set of kingpins, and currently a brake light issue I'm trying to solve.

If you look at the costs of that, when you fctor in the (still) low depreciation, it's actually pretty cheap per mile! (I've got a spreadsheet somewhere)

Have fun :-)

Can't approach your mileage, (Stanley is around 35k miles); but 1.8 Zetec 4/4s rock!
woohoo

Great mileage Julia. Nice to see them being used. The previous owner of my car did 700 miles in 4 years! Looking at his invoices, that was an annual trip to Richard Thornes for a service!

Only one set of kingpins? Blimey, the ones on my 2010 4/4 Sport lasted around 13,000 miles and that was with greasing every 1000 miles as well.

Lovely car the 1.8 4/4, a far better engine than the 1.6 Sigma...eh Mr B? wink

I'm round the clock on mine, I bought with about 60,000 on it over twenty years ago. I rarely drive it in this country preferring to drive it abroad with roads being so crowded in this country.

Julia,

this goes to support my claims that Morgans are perfrctly viable day to day cars that don't dissolve in rainwater and are more robust than most modern cars.

Do you think you will make the 200,000??

Peter
