Car has died in Italy! Recovery due soon and getting repatriated!

Apparently it could take two weeks for car to be back to dealer.

Lots of bad noises coming from the rear. Car pushes along ok in neutral. Belt no longer straight on rear sprocket and moves in and out. Not able to fix myself and recovery lot don't seem to want to try. Belt side of rear tyre worn up the side.

Well it was a good holiday

Just about two year anniversary I think!

Sorry to hear that - not a good way to end the holiday, you sounded to have had lots of fun earlier though.

Good Luck with the recovery.

Oh dear, Donald, I was just about to send you an e-mail or a PM asking if you were back in the northern part of Great Britain and also to thank you for the flask of the violent peaty stuff that you gave me.

I hope it all gets sorted out soon.

That's not good news

Can you get it to the dealer in Italy. This is the number for the Milano dealers +39 02 47 4051 who did come out to visit us on one of the Aeroclub trips.

If its rolling okay it would suggest its an alignment issue which can be resolved with some big spanners.

Good luck

Sounds like rear is off centre to me?

Having a sidecar yonks ago it used to wear the chains on one side as the rear runs off centre.

Not surprised recovery don't want to touch it probably avoiding any liable?

That's just SH** to read.
But OK, it's better the car died and not yourself.
Cant you get the car on the train so at least its in the UK ?
Do you need to leave it now somewhere in Italie.
Good luck with it Donald
Any idea about the cause of this problem ?
