A good response I heard from a fellow Mog owner; when asked the question "How old is it?" He answered "Not quite as old as I am" Mine is older than me!

Ha! At least it is not a frustrating as: "What year is it?" "2012" "Oh, it is a replica then!" "No. The company has never stopped making them. Morgan is still owned by the Morgan family and has been making cars for over 100 years now. This car is in a similar style to the car they made in the 50's but has all modern engine and mechanical parts." As he walks away I hear the know-it-all tell his wife "It's a replica!" Is there much difference between a faithfull replica of a 1930s car and the same car which has been made continuously since the 30s? You can for example buy a Lister knobbly made this year by ( in part) Lister themselves to exactly the same drawings as the original and with the same components. You can do the same with a Cobra. Seems to me that its all semantics.

The replica argument is a real conundrum.
A copy or reproduction of a work of art, especially one made by the original artist. a copy or reproduction of a work of art produced or supervised by the maker of the original.
Arguably all modern trads are replicas of the original 4 wheeler trad, being a similar shape but with modern mechanics. Nothing to get upset about!

No I don't see it that way. I see it as a continual development of the same model similar to the many years of production, with slow but continual changes, to the VW Beetle.
