Dave, 40mpg! Now that is really great. I am afraid my right foot is generally too heavy to achieve more than 36mpg. My best has been 42.5 mpg on a really slow bimble.

Peter, that was a very useful link.
Like you I will be looking to change from 195/60/15 to 195/65/15 when it is time to change tyres, as I too would like a bit more ground clearance.
I guess this will not be for a couple of years yet.

The 2L Duratec has plenty of mid range grunt and the torque is perfectly adequate. That's why a Supersport is 'tempting' - the nimble handling and 200bhp would be a great combination, and in the end that's probably the only combination which would tempt me - but not at present. And it would have to have a spare wheel and over-riders, and easy up hood.

Dave - great to meet you at last & MrsW on Saturday. I loved the +4SS I had for 4 months last year before it went out to our friends in South Africa. I always wanted to drive at 2700rpm when the noise was awesome! Every journey involved going under bridges and through tunnels.....

Just fit throttle bodies and a sports exhaust to your 4/4 smile

Well, following the valuable guidance and opinions of the good posters on this site I have finally put in my order for a two tone Plus Four and opted in the end for the paint protection film but 15" wheels .

I'm now Mogless for a while and getting DT's already!

I'd be interested to know how Andrew255 or any others get on following their delivery, hopefully there won't be too many after build issues.

Thanks. Not until later in the year, just in time for the salt spreading!

Try to get into the factory on a factory tour when it is being built. It is all part of the new build experience.
