Matthew, It isn't a complicated job, but I would think it better to have someone fit them who is familiar with the morgan suspension. The springs have to be compressed to dismantle and again to re-assemble along with resetting the track etc. etc. so I would get a good Morgan shop to do it. Good Luck, you certainly will not regret doing this "Mod"

Hi Matthew,
1.Go for woodrim with shorter bottom spoke to ease entry and exit
2.Get yourself a good pair of quality leather driving gloves.
These litterally 'stick' to the wheel allowing a free-er grip even in tight turns (grippier than leather rimmed wheel and no gloves), therefore less tiring.
3. Now you really look the part!!!

Thanks for the Photo John - I see what you mean about the shorter bottom spoke.
NJR - I've not seen anywhere that offers the shorter spoke - where would you suggest ? I've looked on the Moto Lita website and they don't advertise it.
The other option I was considering was to get a Mountney quick detatchable boss to fit a normal Moto Lita wheel, then I could simple pull the wheel off and on at whim !

Hi,
others may be able to point you in the right direction as to finding the 'off set' wheel. Personally I have no problem with the old standard wood rim, bit tight getting in and out but once settled behind it, its a joy to look at especially with the walnut dash....I just need magnolia dials to finish it off.
IMHO, nothing wrong with Mountneys, but they belong in MG's and old Mini's, luxury British sports cars like Morgans, old Jags and Astons have to have a Mota Lita.
Go to your local dealer and try out the options in the cars on offer...but remember the driving gloves...they really do work.

Nick - If I've understood it correctly, Mountney offer a boss that allows a Moto lita to fit and still be detatchable - I need to speak to them to confirm. Will let you know how I get on ... Matthew
