What a beautiful car. It looks in great condition considering the history. I agree with SBM getting the car roadworthy while keeping it's character would be ideal. But, whatever type of restore you opt for, seeing the car saved and cared for is wonderful. If the kids complain about inheritance you can always threaten to them in the garage for the next 39 years.

What beautiful patina. Please just make it safe & roadworthy again, don't restore it. There are any number of shiny ones out there, but only one with that lovely originality. I agree with Steve; wonderful to see a car with patina. But good luck with whatever you chose and keep us posted.

Thanks for all the comments, unfortunately its going to have to be a full respray. The bonnet was already in primer when we got her and the rust and kilos of bog doesn't bode well for the aged paint.
To tell the truth she is already bare metal now with extra daylight shining through where once was metal.
But will keep posting pics as she gets reborn.

Yes, sometime in its unknown past, but we are going to re_engineer it.

When I was in Perth, Craig Adkins had both a Series 1 and Plus 4 flat rad fitted with Rack and Pinion. Peugeot I think. May be common in Australia?

Hi Mark,
Our Plus 4 came with a Series 1 chassis, Standard Special engine and gearbox, All original to the Chassis according to Morgan. Just interesting that you say he had both. Seems a common trait in Morgan owner to collect a few.
One day we may look at rebuilding the Series 1, but that's going to be after we win the lottery.
