Nice article.. but historically incorrect, i'm afraid..the Red Baron ( Manfred von Richthofen) generally flew a triple decker Fokker, or an Albatros..

Fokker approached the English to put his his ideas into flight and was turned away ( English Idiot Syndrome ) So went and joined the Germans and the rest is history.
