A certain member of this forum recently bid on, and lost, a car that was very sensible money. And though not what I would go for; was nevertheless an interesting choice. As such, and not a Morgan  , what car would you buy for say £20k maximum (negotiable of course). It can be modified if required... I will start with this:   Brings out the 'boy racer' in me. I know someone else who might just also agree (what do you say Aeroman??)

Sorry must add another....  That has a volve 3 litre turbo I understand... I would love that  And yes, I am pinching them from elsewhere

£20k will still just about get you into a Maserati Mistral - beautiful things. Or the more sensible moeny I'd spend on a pagoda top Merc 250SL. Ok it will need a bit of TLC at 20k but will be perfectly usable and I can spend the next 10 years tinkering with it.

I simply love that Escort (except the bonnet and possibly the wheels. I've been looking a lot at the MK1's recently with the bubble arches. Think 20k would be wisely spent on a classic fast ford at the moment...they're going bonkers Other than that ...cars are a waste of money......won't see me spending my hard earned on things that rust.
