I will be very interested in how well the Slingshot bevel gearbox and drive belt system works and its durability. I hope they have made a better job of it than Morgans "development team".

Looking at the styling of the Slingshot, I rather fancy that Polaris have more engineers than stylists working for them, the 'Polar' [pun intended] opposite of Morgan it would seem! I would say there is a very, very good chance that the bevel box will give no problems whatsoever in service.

one of things that stands out to me when scouring the youtube videos, especially the advanced look some journalist got (aka not hyper produced advertising pieces) is how much plastic is in that car and not all of it is painted which put this in more of a category of a 3 wheeled "sports car" version of one of polaris's off road 4 wheelers which of course are purpose build and very durable and not exactly flashy. it's in an awkward in-between place of recreational vehicle and proper car. not 100% sold but to their credit that price point is very honest as it pertains to not trying to be bespoke or high end.

really interested to see if there's any lessons learned that can be had with some of their engineering moves/product choices and integrating them in to our 3 wheelers.

From an aesthetics stand-point, it will never reach that of the M3W. From a mechanical stand-point, I think it has already surpassed the M3W...though they won't be delivered until the end of September/early October.

Factory demo rides...just average guys...I find their comments amusing.

Hadn't looked at this thread until now as most 3 wheel competitors are rubbish but this one seems a bit different!
The YouTube vid is great, love the wing mirrors (they actually look like they work too!), outside looks are ok, although the wheels are definitely too small. It looks like a KTM XBow that's missing a wheel, which is not entirely a bad thing, I was very interested in the KTM when it was released...
