I had the Williams re-map a couple of months ago, and I agree the performance is better. The HP has gone from 208 to 228 so a 20 hp increase. Second third and fourth gear seem to be longer and smoother but the overrun I had is still there. I also had an air induction kit fitted, sounds good and I think it looks better than the old black plastic air filter box.

I presume remapping will have an adverse effect on fuel consumption.

Can any Morgan dealer do it, or does it have to be one of the specialist ones?

I saw a few MOT places (!) advertising for ECU remap, but honestly I would rather go to a Mog specialist. I believe Williams programmed their own so the upgrade is really tailored to our cars.

Jim,
How do you get your hp reading? Mine comes from DashCommand and the reading is lower than expected (-+ 70hp) but it's not Bhp.

Cheers,
Vladimir

We are the only dealer able to do remapping on the ecu's use.

Vlad

These are the figures I was given by Williams when the remap was completed. I would not be able to calculate them myself.

After driving down there on the day, having the work done and then driving back home the feel of the car was significantly different and I was very pleased, and still am. I would recommend having it done. I am sure Williams will give you any info you require about the remap.

Jim.

The remap improved fuel consumption on my Roadster as long as I'm not using its full performance. Probably because the torque curve has improved lower down the rev range.

Williams are the only dealer actually specifically remapping the ECUs as opposed to chipping with the likes of Bluefin.

Jim,
I had it done in February at Williams too, don't misunderstand me ;-)
I was just curious to know how one could calculate his mog's bhp.

Cheers,
Vladimir
