I understand that Williams have developed a sports exhaust system for the Duratec engine that does not cause problems with the functioning of the cat and hence no MIL light problems, not to mention possible MOT problems. May well be worth talking to them and perhaps getting the famous re-map at the same time.

As one who suffered from 'Yellow Light' syndrome on my 1.8 Duratec for many years, I'm happy to report that the latest modification to the Librand's manifold will now pass both the UK MoT and the tougher french 'CT' inspection.

The problems encountered with the original system was mainly due to the Morgan 2ltr +4 'OEM' system being utilized for the 1.8 4/4. Previous 'mods' solved any problems with the 2ltr system soon after its inception, but working with the original 2ltr 'OEM' on the 1.8 took Librands a little longer to come - up with a fix, without resorting to messing about with the engine management sysstem. Unfortunately, their products reputation got a 'little tarnished' in the mean time.......

However, I'm now a 'Happy Bunny' and have just completed 2,500 clicks in four days of driving; except my wipers packed - up: Don't put your Reflective Vests' in the Glove Box, if you have one, if that is where your wiper motor is........

All credit to BHM who have taken the Brunt of my frustration and Rick Bourne for finally getting things right without resorting to computer tricks.............

Kind Regards from a Sunny South West France, from he who has his suspension to grease.
