Having discovered last week there was not a filter in the airbox the K&N arrived today & I fitted it.

It is good job the filter box has that honeycomb mesh before the inlet to the throttle body as that was strainig out the stones & flies.

After a clean up & spray of the internals in heat resistant matt black I offered up the K&N.

It didn't fit. A check on the box showed the poorly moulded flange was not square & there was too much of a lip at one end. 20 minutes with a file and all was well.

I assume that is why Ford or Mr Morgan never fitted a filter!!!

A quick test drive showed reduced induction noise and no loss of oomph that I could feel.

I guess if you own a Roadster you should check your filter is there.

Yes. I gues PO could have removed it.
Hopefully in 12k the bores won't have been to affected.
The car doesn't use oil so fingers crossed

Interesting John thumbs , I wonder how many services go by with 'Cost of Filter?' not checked.

I have never looked in our box coffee .

Had an interesting hour and half this afternoon.

Ann's Defenders Drivers window kept jamming open so, after asking a Land Rover Chat Group, how to take off the Inner Door Panels (Thanks guys), with Door now Dismantled, It was interesting to find that, despite two warranty jobs in there to fix a perpetual rattle, the window had always been out of its Front Edge Track.

Its impossible for it to Jump Out! doh .

Remembering Geometry, I worked out how to swing the window glass at the right angle for the Narrowest part to slip back into place.

Door Re assembled, Rattle also fixed. Job Done and one more Happy Learning Curve completed work
